Shoot 1- Process

Editing:

Step 1. Open your desired image into Photoshop CC 2014.

Step 2.  Select the crop tool from the tools menu and adjust your image as desired (ensure that a 2:3 ratio has been set.

Step 3. Select the brightness and contrast tool from the right menu and adjust them until you are happy with the levels. Increase the images contrast whilst decreasing it's brightness.

Step 4. Select the hue, saturation and lightness tool from the right menu.  Lower the images saturation and increase it's lightness (do not adjust the hue).

Physical experimentation:

After printing each image was printed at a 3:2 ratio of 25:16.99 with a 1mm border.  This has been done to allow for the subjects to physically manipulate their images in a way which discusses their gender identity.

Equipment:
-Paint (pink and blue).
-Paint brush x1.
-Water pot x1.
-Drying paper x1.
-Palette/paint pot x2.
